Strangers Lovers Killers explores how a seemingly small event can have profound effects on individuals and unite strangers.
The suicide of a corrupt Mayor in Shanghai leads to convulsions in Sydney: a student from China, Mei Li, is abducted. Her boyfriend, David, and a complete stranger, Simon, are joined in a quest to find her.
The film follows the two young men, Simon and David, in a series of events that take place over a 12-hour period – from dawn in Sydney to dusk.
On their journey, the two men are stripped of their everyday exterior and no matter how hard they resist, become embroiled in a labyrinth of suspicion, corruption and violence in their quest for the missing Mei Li.
